The new Onça Publishing

It has been over two years now since our Onça Classics crowdfunding campaign came to an end. It is time for me to give you another update.In November 2014, I asked you to support the production and release of our first title, a special edition of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, by R. L. Stevenson. But at the end of our campaign we had raised only $4,141 of our $11,000 goal. It was a generous amount—and the project was still viable—but I needed to budget for a greater out-of-pocket investment. Within six months we were nearly ready to print our book, and had all but chosen our printer.But things would not be so easy. For reasons beyond my control, I was no longer in the position to make the necessary investment. This remained the case for over a year and a half.Fortunately, there is light at the end of this tunnel. With my personal matters stabilized, that investment once again becomes a possibility. I can't make any promises yet, but I hope that we will all have Jekyll and Hyde in our hands before the end of the year.In the mean time, Onça Publishing shifts focus slightly. In order to shore up our finances, we are looking to increase the client base for our freelance work.
